Well, I thought I would update for the heck of it ~ I am on myspace these days and I have been neglecting my xanga friends for some time... please forgive me :( So... I am married! I am Deveri Harvey now! Yay! We are both so excited and love living the married life... The last month has been a big blur from all the work and running we had been doing to get ready for the wedding... The wedding was held at my fathers house... he added on a big addition to the home and they have a couple of acres so it was a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. He has three big decks on the back of the house and he leveled out a big area for the tent... it worked out perfectly. We were married barefoot and I had daisies in my hair... Eric and his best man Eric wore Hemp attire and so did my best friend Meka, who was my maid of honor. Erics little sister Emma was the flower girl and my little cousin Wade was the ring bearer. They all did so wonderfully and made the wedding so special for us! After the wedding we had a recieving line where I got to visit with so many family memebers I hadnt seen in a while and of course all of our friends. Then we ate! My dads friends are champion BBQ Smokers and they made all the meat (Ham, Pork Butt and Briskit) and we had potatoe salad and Baked Beans... rolls ~ Pop, Ice Tea. and FOUR KEGS OF BEER! Ha! That was awesome... the guys made me do a keg stand after I changed out of my dress! Oh, my dress... it is so pretty...
This is NOT a picture of me... it is strait out of the catalog... I will put up a slide show of all the wedding pics whenever we get them! My step dad was the photographer and he also hired a pro videographer for the wedding... who I am sure did a wonderful job! We are still waiting for the video too... Anyway, we partied and danced... we had a great DJ! It was a blast!!! Our cake was georgeous with real fresh daisies all over it and this is our cake topper...
We hired a friend of ours to play the guitar before and after the ceremony... it was just lovely! Last weekend we went on our Honeymoon at Meramec State Park outside of Sullivan, MO. It was absolutely georgeous there and we had so much fun!! We stayed in a little cabin, but we hung out outside most of the time... it was nice with the cabin though... it had a full kitchen and everything... so we made coffee in the mornings and sat out by the fire and stuff... We were really secluded up on this hill overlooking a little valley... we went canoeing on the Meramec River on Saturday... just us... it was hot so it was great! We didnt get sunburnt either! The little hippie chick up at the store told us to watch for the cave... sure enough we pulled up to find a waterfall with cold cave water pouring down it... we climbed on up and there was a gigantic cave! We went in it a ways but it was very dark and cold so we didnt venture in too awful far... we met some cool people who told us to come party with them that night in cabin 20, but we didnt... we were on our honeymoon! We were busy ~ wink, wink! Hehe... Anyway... we had wild animal contact all weekend as well... a racoon visited us every night around dinner time and we saw LOTS of turtles... and we almost tipped the canoe while floating the river because a snake slithered up my leg! Quite an adventure... I cant wait to get the waterproof camera developed because it should have some good pics of that cave... we didnt get to see all the caves and trails in the park this past weekend like we wanted to because we were so wore out from the float... but it just gives us a reason to go back!! ... Here is a slide of some of the Honeymoon Pics... |
